Straight, strong saplings and limbs are hand-picked from Niagara-region hardwoods — chosen for grain, character, and strength.
Each blank is dried and seasoned so it won't warp or crack, the way it's been done for generations.
Shaped with knife and chisel, then detailed by hand — bark textures, leaf motifs, and grips carved to fit your hand.
Sanded smooth, wrapped in leather or paracord, and sealed with oil so it weathers years of trail miles.
The Wood
Sourced from the forests of western New York. Each species brings its own strength and character to the finished stick.
Dense and dependable. The classic walking-stick wood — heavy in the hand, built to last decades.

I'm Joe, a U.S. Army veteran — 3rd Ranger Battalion — carving sticks by hand in Lockport, New York. I started carving the way most good habits start: with a sharp knife, a quiet afternoon, and a piece of wood that deserved better than the firewood pile.
Niagara Ranger Co. is my way of putting that craft to work. Every stick is cut from local hardwood, seasoned patiently, and finished to be carried — on trails, around town, or handed down. Rangers lead the way. A good stick helps you follow your own.
